Are You Ready to Soar – Prayer for Positioning and Readiness

We’re called to speak truth here and in the midst of a pandemic that is literally creating mass upheaval on a worldwide scale, access to truth is paramount. The Spirit of the Lord has been speaking to What You Will about the condition of the Church and the Church’s response to this pandemic; and while we can waste time trying to understand the where’s and why’s of this fear-based virus attacking the earth, the Lord has spoken clearly to us here at the ministry that “Repentance is the ONLY thing that will turn this thing around”. That is the Word of the Lord in this season and the Spirit of the Lord is also saying, “There is no other solution”.

The shaking we have encountered is of no surprise to God, but our response to this worldwide event affecting all of us must be a response that lines up with His will for this hour. For those who follow this ministry you have heard videos and podcasts about the shift into consecration that has been in the making for several years. As recent as three years ago, the LORD provided messaging to What You Will about removing the wheat from the tares and separating the Church from those who have infected her with gross sexual sin and rebellion. These messages prompted a series of prophetic words that have placed us where we are right now in this moment of time where the Spirit of the Lord is calling His Bride to arise and prepare herself for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. We have just entered a shift into readiness and preparation for the return of King Jesus. The pre-release party is here folks and this is the moment of release for those who have been called to set the stage for the return of the King.

We have an opportunity to BE Jesus Christ in this earth right now, in this moment. This is the time to know what the Spirit of the Lord is speaking to the lost, to the nations, and to the Church. NOW is the time to have an answer for those who are asking important questions. We have to have biblical answers for troubling times. If anyone of us lacks biblical answers for those who are entering a period of devastation, then he or she needs to seek God on their face in an attitude of prayer and even fasting. Yes, some need to be fasting right now as this is a time of severe correction and adjustment for the Body of Christ; and saints, this shifting will affect the entire world and they will be looking to you and me to have an answer for why we rely on this man Jesus?

Now is the time the Lord has been waiting for to release a sound upon the Earth and the melody is REPENTANCE. There is an undeniable call to repentance and consecration; a call to come out from among the ugliness of the world and be ye separate (2 Corinthians 6:17). Through greasy-grace teaching, the Body of Christ has embraced gross sexual sin and rebellion and received it as acceptable before the LORD; but before the eyes of God, this defiled worship has not been acceptable, it has grieved the Holy Spirit of God and caused us to come under pressure from Heaven. But we can alleviate the pressure if we surrender to the spirit of repentance and accept divine correction.

New mantles are coming, new assignments are here, new mandates from Heaven have been released and it is incumbent upon us to take hold of these wonderful opportunities to be the Lord Jesus Christ to those who are seeking Him in the devastation that is hitting the earth. This is our moment to correct and to allow Him to provide the earth with relief that can only come from the love and careful guidance of a merciful God; but He cannot be who He desires to be unless we are in agreement with His heart for the world. He loves the world and the people in it and if we really love Him, then we will gladly humble ourselves and give Him permission to do what He has to do through us in order to bring deliverance to the world. This is our time to manifest love. The Kingdom of God (and God is Love) is within us.

Are you positioning yourself to hear the Word of the Lord for your own lives and making yourself available to move in His direction in order to fulfill His mandate?

Beloved, fear not, for we are not of this world. We are actually called to soar above it. Are you ready to soar?

If you’re not ready to soar then say this prayer:

“Father, while I do not understand the ins and outs of what is taking place in the earth at this moment, I do know that it is my responsibility as your Child to be in agreement with what You’re requiring in this hour. I also know that nothing is impossible with You and You are with me no matter where I may tread. I recognize You’re asking me to take a step of faith and to allow You to use me in ways that I have not really been prepared for, but I know I can trust You with my very breath and I know my life is in Your hands and Your will for me is always good.

Give me what I need in this hour to be in-step with Your will. Give me what I need to hear You clearly, and then obey Your leading.

I realize that Your grace gives me the strength to move ahead when I am not able to see a clear picture, but I also know that You promised You will give me eyes to see and ears to hear if I am willing to obey You. I want to obey You Father. I want to be in Your will and I want You to know I desire what You desire and I trust Holy Spirit to make me a vessel fit for Your use.

I declare and I decree right now God, that Your desire is my desire and Your ways are my ways and Your thoughts are my thoughts and I will follow Your Word and obey You because I love You more than I love life itself. I trust You and I trust Holy Spirit to make me ready for whatever lies ahead and I trust You to keep Your promise to me to be faithful for You are not a man that lies, but You are the very essence of integrity and truth and my heart belongs to You. I thank You for equipping me in this moment and for increasing my faith during this very exciting time, in the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.”

Now open your Bible and read. God bless you, precious ones.

And They Loved Not Their Lives

As we have witnessed panic and distress during this global pandemic, I posed the question to a group of people on one of my social media platforms, “Shouldn’t we be asking why so many born-again people fear dying?”

There were some interesting comments but one stood out to me from a lady who said she wasn’t afraid of dying, she just didn’t want the enemy to take her out before her appointed time. Here was my response to her legitimate concern:

“I have an assurance that I will not die before my appointed time only because I am abiding in Him and He is abiding in me (John 15:7). The devil has no authority over my life for Jesus has the keys to death, hell and the grave, and I am His. While some say, ‘Well, we’ve all got to die of something’ …referring to sickness, disease or even accidents and persecutions, I have made so many declarations about my graduation to Heaven, I am fully convinced no matter how I depart this earth it will not be prematurely. The enemy holds no power over me and if I am in Jesus, he cannot mandate how or when I depart for Heaven.”

The Spirit of the Lord is moving many of us into a new place of faith, faith that literally usurps the fear of death over the believer and his physical body. This paradigm shift is bringing us into a new level of boldness that will enable many to accept the assignment of martyrdom if that is what is written in our heavenly Story. The Book of Revelation speaks to those who who have not loved their lives even unto death (Revelation 12:11); these are the ones who face the Dragon and overcome him by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

If we are loving not our lives even unto death, then we are actually in obedience to His Word and therefore not missing our destiny and not really dying prematurely if we are taken during a moment of spiritual upheaval. If we are following Him in word and deed and hearing and obeying His leading, we are truly in His divine will, whether we depart this world under peace or under persecution. Our mandate is to trust Him and obey.

No matter the present condition of the world or the conditions yet to come, be encouraged; God is still on the Throne and He is mighty to save. Remember, he who loses his life for Jesus and the message of the Cross will find it (Matthew 10:39). Our trust is in God’s love for us and we know His love never fails (Psalm 136; 1 Corinthians 13:8).

The just shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38; Habakkuk 2:4). Be the one who trusts in God.

Have the Blessings in Your Life Hit a Ceiling?

There is great comfort in only taking godly instruction from television ministries. The televangelist has nothing invested in the viewer directly and s/he can encourage, encourage, encourage without ever calling a person to accountability. Words of encouragement can help us to feel better about our current situation, but encouragement is meant to help us press-on in our pursuit of Jesus. Deliverance from oppression and enemy attack can only be alleviated by applying the Word of God to our lives; while encouragement is helpful, it is not enough to secure victory in daily living. The Bible outlines specific requirements for continual victory in our walk with God; one of which is holiness. Some people are grabbing onto numerous ‘words of encouragement’ hoping those words will propel them from lack, chaos, or bondage into prosperity, peace and freedom; but they’re still stuck in a rut and they’re asking God why?

Phil Robertson, founder of the Duck Commander Company, now famously known by the television show that launched he and his family into fame, “Duck Dynasty” said in a recent interview on Joni Table Talk that before he came to know the Lord, he chose to live immorally. He wanted freedom, freedom to live as he wanted to unencumbered by restriction. He noted that after multiple conversations with many people on the issue of surrendering to Jesus according to God’s Word, the one common theme in these conversations was that people rejected God’s way of doing things so they could live a life free from restraint.

There are many circumstances that require some form of restraint: wearing a seat belt while traveling in a car to keep from being thrown from a vehicle if involved in a crash, following the directions written on a medicine bottle in order to prevent death by accidental overdose, and holding back words during an altercation that could cause the loss of a job or the loss of a dear friendship. Life presents us with situations requiring restraint and embracing godly restraint can keep us from being an open target for the enemy.

Most of us who are stuck in a rut are stuck because we’re still making decisions in life that God cannot bless; and in many cases, people fail to remove themselves from situations they know are not God’s best for them because they do want to be restrained. Whether they resist restraint because they are fearful their needs will not be met or they resist restraint because they are just rebellious and self-serving, ignoring restraint will cause the blessings in those lives to hit a ceiling. In the case of rebellion for example, refusing to choose right living will not only hinder blessings, it can leave a person without certain protections and no child of God wants to be without the protection of God.

It is incumbent upon every believer to walk out their salvation with awe and reverence (Philippians 2:12) and to pursue holy living. Yes, if you’re shacking up with a partner you can still talk to God, but until you make the decision to do right by God through His Word (be joined in matrimony or separate entirely), the blessings in your life will have a ceiling. Remember what the Bible says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life” (Galatians 6:7, AMP).

God cannot bless wrong living. Our access to abundant living can only go as far as our commitment to God’s Word. If we want to have real and lasting change for the better then we have to do life His way. If we want Him to make moves for us, then we have to make some moves for Him. We must make a choice. We must be willing to let Him make changes to our situation so we can be positioned for victory.

Decide this day whom you will serve (Joshua 24:15): you and your way or the Lord and His way. Jesus allowed God to crucify Him so you and I can have salvation and abundant life, but in order to manifest everything God has for us to be victorious, we have to give up those things and situations we know deep within our hearts are not God’s best for us. In order to break through the ceiling we must choose to live life rightly.

2020 – “The Year of Release”

He is High and Lifted up; by His grace we sit in Heavenly places with Him (Ephesians 2:6). He has called us to speak LIFE into the atmosphere. We crush the darkness with our authority using the Word of God as our weapon. We bash the enemy with the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). We can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13) and in the Name of Jesus we have power over ALL the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

In 2020 we are going to plow through the assignments of the enemy and set the captives free. We will not be stopped from our mission; we will not be hedged in by darkness; we will not falter in our faith; we will overtake principalities and powers by standing on the Word. We will not be moved from our positions of authority. The Lord is saying, “Release”.

2020 — this is the “Year of Release”. Release from debt, release from bondage, release from fear, release from strongholds, release from witchcraft, release from negativity, release from chains of darkness, release from poverty and lack, release from anything and everything that has tried to stifle your destiny or remove you from your post in the spirit.

Release will come in waves of deliverance, with back to back victories and manifestations of divine power. On the upside, release will come into your gates; there will be releases from Heaven that will fill your treasure boxes in both the spiritual realm and the natural. What looked like a shadow of things to come will now manifest and overflow as release fills your dwellings in the physical and in the natural as well as in the spiritual. There will be a release of liberty, a release of finances, a release of giftings; a release of power and divine encounters will be released upon the earth, such as have never been seen before this time. Family members will have divine encounters, judges will be filled with the glory of God and lay people in government will begin to shift legislation to support doctrines of wisdom that edify the plans and purposes of God. More federal judges will be released from their positions in office and new judges with the fire and faith of God will be released to establish order according to God’s plans and purposes.

Releasing the Glory! Releasing the Just! Releasing the Holy! Releasing the Faithful! Releasing the promises that many have been waiting to see fulfilled for many, many years. 2020 is marked to be a jubilee of sorts where divine and powerful release is coming to the earth and especially for those who LOVE and FOLLOW Him. So receive the release, the release from old things that have kept you bound and in a state of stagnation; receive the release of new things that will establish you and set you on a course to the divine. Release your faith, it has to obey you; release your sound; it has to comply; release the Word, it has to manifest the will of God; and be released to shift atmospheres and change the course of the assignment you have been called to fulfill, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Be released!

Grave Lessons from Angels – How Their Example Serves as Our Warning

Fallen angels lived in the glory of God from the time of their creation. They dwelt in the presence of God, they worked in the presence of God, and they lived in the presence of God. They were exposed to attributes you and I have not yet been exposed to much less allowed to entertain; therefore, once they rebelled against God, they were without mercy and unable to retain it because of their acquired knowledge. Angels have been exposed to secret places and in some events the deeper things of God that very few have ever seen. Clearly, their request for forgiveness was unjustified as they had absolutely no excuse for rejecting the goodness of God and then conniving to usurp authority over Him. Their rebellion was indeed blasphemy in the truest sense of the word.

Because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse (Romans 1:19-20).

While the above scripture is speaking to mankind’s rejection of Jesus and the power of His Holy Spirit, this is an eternal declaration and it also applies to the angelic. Gross rebellion is difficult but still redeemable for mankind after repentance and surrender to God’s authority; but woe to the one who has rebelled against the goodness of God after dwelling in the divine presence of God and regularly tasting of the divine. This scripture is speaking specifically to the mature in Christ, those who have an established foundation in the deeper things of Christ. The scripture in the Book of Hebrews states it this way:

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame (Hebrews 6:4-6).

The preceding verses in this passage of scripture list for us what is considered rudimentary in the kingdom of God from a learning perspective:

Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment (Hebrews 6:1-3).

The above verses are essentially the basics of Christianity 101 and every believer should have this foundation established in their personal walk with God; as no one can move into deeper maturity unless they have established these fundamental principles to doctrinal understanding.

Although men and women didn’t have access to the throne of God like the angelic before the foundation of the earth, we do indeed have access to the throne of God now. Jesus has made it possible for you and me to have intimate fellowship with the Father. He paved the way for you and me to receive mercy for our shortcomings and forgiveness our own rebellion by becoming sin for us. Our knowledge of God and His Holy Spirit are acquired here, in this dispensation, on this earth; whereas angels had their opportunity in the heavenlies; but just as each group—mankind and the angelic—have each been given their position of assignment, both groups have also been given specific perimeters by which to live. We could say the angels learned to worship God while in heavenly places; while mankind learns how to worship God here on earth. Each group has its destiny and each group has the ability to accept or reject God’s will. So while some may think God’s decision to permanently reject the fallen angels is extreme, we know it is not at all extreme based upon the conditions by which the angels were allowed to live. So if the angles had free will and yet suffered the consequences of rebellion, then how much more will we as men and women suffer the consequences of rebellion against God being made in the very image of God? (Genesis 1:26).

We didn’t have the opportunity to move in diverse realms of glory or taste of the divine goodness of God like the angles did in Heaven; we were hidden in the Father before the foundation of this world; but through our assignments here on earth, we have the opportunity to acknowledge the goodness of God and learn to embrace what is holy. As we learn to obey the instructions of the Father as they are written in His Word, we too can partake of the divine nature of God if we allow Holy Spirit to mature us through the working of His might power. Consequently, just as the angles were without excuse for their rebellion against God in Heaven, we too are without excuse if we reject God’s goodness while here on earth.

Rebellion is a serious issue and one God addresses with all who refuse to accept His sovereignty, whether they are human or angelic. He is the creator, we are the created. He is the potter, we are the clay, and while God does give us free will to choose between light and darkness; goodness and evil; He also has the right to eternally excommunicate anyone who attempts to usurp His authority. After all, are we God? Do we have the ability to sustain the dimensions of the universe, holding each layer in the palms of our hands? Do we have the ability to create the human form, decorate the expanse of the earth with our own paintbrush, or establish the parameters of the oceans and their borders? We can’t even calculate the amount of stars in the skies much less create anything. We can only observe and discover through research and study what is available to us through those things God has released from His very heart. We have the cars we drive because God released our ability to design them in His time, as He willed, for His purposes. We create nothing. He truly is the beginning and the end; what a humbling revelation.

So let’s remember to give God the respect He is due and let’s not pity angles that chose to reject the awesome greatness of God and stirred up rebellion in the heavenlies creating such gross division. God hates division; and all rebellion does is divide and separate us from God’s very best. And while we are to pray for men and women who may be under the spell of rebellion, we are never to show pity for the angles of God that lived in the presence of His Divine Glory then chose to reject His authority. There is never redemption for any who have been enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come (Hebrews 6:4-6) and then rebelled against that glory. Take a lesson from the angels; there is no path of repentance for anyone who dwells in the secret places of God’s glory then chooses to embrace rebellion.

Rulership in the Heavens Begins Now

Getting directly to the point of this article, Rulership in the Heavens Begins Now:

“Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens” (Matthew 5:19, ISR98).

Jesus is the epitome of the commandments for He is the Word:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:1-3, 14).

With greatness come a few requirements: purity of heart is especially important and obeying the Spirit of God is essential. Those who are led (led kids, led) by the [Holy] Spirit, are the sons of God (Romans 8:14).

If we allow Holy Spirit to lead us we won’t err in judgment, we won’t be led of our flesh and do those things we know hinders our relationship with Almighty God. Thankfully, even if we do have an error in judgment, we can be quickly restored to peace in God and press on provided we just acknowledge the error, apologize to Father, and keep it moving. Father God is so patient and gracious, but we must never use that mercy to perpetuate a lifestyle of sinning. We’re better than that, we’re children of the King and He deserves our worship.

Live your life now for future rewards. Yes, there will be earthly rewards while we pursue righteousness in Him, but with that pursuit also comes future rewards, those treasures we lay up for ourselves that don’t corrupt (Matthew 6:19). There are also rewards for “position”—rulership, in eternity.

Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life (1 Corinthians 6:3)?

Positions in eternity are established by the choices we make HERE and now, so let’s not limit ourselves to earthly treasures when there are thrones to occupy and reigns in the heavens to rule. We are His workmanship in Christ (Ephesians 2:10), let’s agree to allow Holy Spirit to shape us now for our future seat, our position in the heavens. We are kings and priests and lords unto our God indeed (Revelation 1:6), but the manifestation of those titles actually begins right here and right now by following the Spirit of the Lord in obedience to His best for us. We know we have a book, a developing story, created by God before the foundation of the world with our part being worked out in this earthly realm; so let’s align ourselves with what He shows us in His Word (which is His best) and manifest our ability to reign in the heavens right now. We must make it a point to live our earthly lives for the rewards of the future; this is how we forever establish our rulership position with Them in the heavens and reign with Them in the worlds to come.

Going Deeper Requires Consecration

There is nothing more satisfying to the devoted disciple of the Lord than basking in the presence of God and enjoying the fruits of Holy Spirit like peace, joy and contentment; but what is your response when the Lord is pressing you to go deeper into the knowledge of Him?

The Bible encourages us to delve into the deeper things of God and by doing so we increase in wisdom and revelation knowledge in the glory of Him (Ephesians 1:15-21); but the Bible also eludes to push back from the forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). As we seek to search out the heart of God and remove those things from our souls that may be keeping us from total consecration, we have to accept there will be push back from the enemy. Satan doesn’t relent when he deems we are devoted to pursuing God in word and deed; if anything, Satan ramps up the attacks, and the impact of those attacks on our psyche will determine just how serious we are about consecration. It’s during the fiery furnace of purification we discover just how devoted we really are to God’s perfect will for our lives.

The Bible tells us that the pure in heart shall see God (Matthew 5:8) and becoming a pure vessel requires more than saying the sinner’s prayer, receiving Jesus as Savior, and making daily decrees for consecration. Yes, we begin the path to consecration by making biblical decrees regarding holiness in walking with God, but unless we give God permission to strip us of everything that stands in the way of purification, our decrees will not take us into the Holy Place. At some point, we have to allow Holy Spirit to crucify our flesh. Those who have allowed God to direct every area of their lives are truly walking in holiness. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God (Romans 8:14). There is a difference between being a child of God—one who is part of the family of Heaven (and also considered a brother or a sister) verses those who are Sons. Sons carry the glory and live in devoted consecration to the Spirit of the Living God. Those living in devotion to the Spirit of the Living God are set apart for encounters that only the truly surrendered are invited to experience. Does that mean the average Christian cannot have a dramatic spiritual encounter in the Spirit? No, God can choose whoever He desires to bless with a divine spiritual encounter, but walking in the glory of God daily is reserved for the totally surrendered.

Enoch walked so closely with God he never actually died a physical death. He was “taken” by the Spirit of the Living God (Genesis 5:24). Elisha was so powerfully anointed from a lifestyle of surrender that a dead man was raised to life after that man’s body was laid upon the bones of deceased Elisha (2 Kings 13:20-21). Moses was so surrendered to God that he withstood the grumblings of the Israelite’s and still had face to face communication with God when he went into the mountain to speak with God about next steps for the Jews (Exodus 33:11). There was no one more consecrated than the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible has numerous testimonies of things Jesus did that surpassed even physics, like walking on water; but because of His devotion to the call of God on His life, He moved in many operations of glory and power. Feats like these are possible for anyone who has made Jesus Christ LORD of their lives; but feats of this magnitude require a level of sacrifice many believers in God are not willing to embrace.

The Bible tells us to take up our cross and walk with Jesus (Mark 8:34), but the sacrifice of the cross has to be received. While the Cross is the epitome of the surrendered life, God doesn’t force His will upon any of us. Even when God knows His direction for us is what’s best, it is still up to us to lay down our own agendas for His and run our race with endurance. Thankfully, it is enough to believe in God and His Son Jesus to be saved, but in order to walk in the excellency of His glory, a refining of the spirit is required, and there is no refinement without the Word of God and the power of the Cross. It’s not enough to just attend the local church and sing in the choir every Sunday morning. Consecration is deeper than that; consecration requires a stripping away of all those things that keep us in bondage to vain living and foolish pursuits. Consecration requires we abstain from foolish behaviors, foolish jesting and worldly mindsets that prohibit faith from flourishing and hope from producing real results. Consecration is the gateway to living in the supernatural. No one can think or desire their way into the supernatural, one has to pursue it. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26), so we have to move from desire to doing life in the supernatural.

Kathryn Kuhlman, John G. Lake, Maria Woodworth-Etter, and Kenneth E. Hagin exhibited life in the supernatural. There are documented testimonies of supernatural events that took place in many of their meetings. These four people had consecration in common. None of them indulged in worldly pleasure, they refrained from alcohol and other ungodly devices and they spent hours and hours in communion with Holy Spirit. These four people devoted themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and endured much hardship during their seasons of consecration. Kathryn Kuhlman lived in a turkey shed without basic necessities just so she could be where God wanted her to be while she went through Holy Ghost training. In his quest for holiness in Jesus, John G. Lake gave away everything he owned to pursue ministry in South Africa. Lake had become wealthy selling insurance. Maria Woodworth-Etter actually embraced the call to holiness and consecration during the mid 1800’s and set out on a journey to preach repentance and heal the sick. Her call to holiness and repentance produced such miracles she was once arrested but then released when those who had been healed through her ministry were able to prove they had indeed been healed after she prayed. Kenneth E. Hagin set himself on a course for consecration as a man who was raised from the bed of sickness as a teenager. With sometimes little to no money he continued to pursue God and go where God told him to go in order to carry the anointing he carried for healing the sick. All of these people are on record stating that their ability to heal and walk in the miraculous was cultivated through complete and total consecration to the Lord. This level of consecration required the laying down of personal comfort and sometimes personal desire in order to posses the glory that could only come from a deeply surrendered life. There was a cost to carry the glory of God in the way these people carried it; but the dividends in saved souls, restored families, and divine miracles more than made up for the lack of worldly goods and comforts these godly generals gave up to live in holy devotion to God. I’m certain if we were to ask each of them if the sacrifices made were worth the rewards they would loudly exclaim, yes!

The cost of living in the supernatural is high and it’s not for everyone. Most Christian’s will never taste of the magnificent glory of God, but for those who dare to peer into the things only angels have seen, the call to consecration is well worth the cost. Consecration is a process and it takes time to strip our souls from all the junk we inherited on our DNA before we made the commitment to serve Jesus. There will be set-backs, heartache, grief, great sacrifice and periods of isolation, but there will also be many moments of great joy, ecstasy in Jesus, and deep satisfaction if we faint not. Manifesting the glory of God on a supernatural level is possible but only through a total devotion to sanctification in Jesus. There is no other way to walk in the glory, but the reward for dedicated obedience and consecration far outweighs the fruits that come from worldly pursuits. The question we have to ask ourselves is…are we willing to go deeper?

Reveal Heaven

Today I went to work and lamented about missing my time with the Lord. For the last few years I have had ample time to read the Bible, study scripture and bask in wonderful praise and worship music at any time of the day for as long as I desired, but at the end of May, I took a position helping my husband to run a restaurant. This new assignment has consumed many, many hours of my professional and personal time. I am in the will of God, but being out in the “world” again has been an adjustment. I have not had the two to three hours I am used to having daily with Holy Spirit and for weeks now this has caused some frustration in me. Imagine going from the liberty of continual fellowship with God to one brief little prayer in the car on the way to the job? Its nuts and at times downright irritating to me to have no time for fellowship with God, but I know I am in His will right now, so I do what I can when I can and talk to Him about my next opportunity to have more time with Him.

Today at work I told my husband that I really wished I could be blessed like other’s who get to spend so much time just being with Jesus. He gently corrected me and said, “You are really blessed. We’re here doing this”, referring to our God-ordained assignment to occupy a sphere of influence for the Lord through this restaurant. I agreed with him but added, “…but I want to be in ministry. I want my own church.”

My husband of all people knows that what we’re doing in the restaurant is ministry—marketplace ministry—but I have really been missing those amazing moments with God where He just shows up in my daily life to blast me with His love and power. Being in public places where moments for real ministry are rare is so restricting to me and there’s this little issue with God’s timing that gets under my skin sometimes—His timing is not my timing and sometimes we have to do what God tells us to do even if it means working with some restrictions.

Well because God is so good, He decided to show up and show off for me today, on the job, in the restaurant and to the benefit of those who were there with me to witness the love of God moving on a guest and his wife who came in to eat.

Without going into detail, Holy Spirit prompted me to pray for a man dining in the restaurant and when I finished praying for this man and his wife I also prayed for the father who had just been admitted to hospice today. The couple thanked me for the prayer and the man told me about his travels as a missionary to Russia years ago and his career as a Methodist minister. I walked the man and his wife to the door and returned to the restaurant when I saw tears flowing from one of the member’s of my staff. She said, “I have never seen anything like that and I have no idea what that was all about but I felt it.” She was crying under the presence of the Lord. God was touching her heart and she was full of emotion. Her response was lovely and I marveled at how the Lord used that prayer time to move upon the people He has given to me and my husband to help run the restaurant. It was ministry for many tonight and it was blessed.

As I thought about the special moment that occurred with the power of Jesus today on the job I heard Holy Spirit say, “Reveal Heaven” and I did. Isn’t that what the Church is supposed to do—reveal Heaven?

I thank God for that special moment and I thank God for my husband’s kind rebuke and I thank God for the opportunity to reveal Heaven through me today. It was church, in the purest sense of the word and I was there to share it. God is so very, very good.

May the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified forever and ever, Amen.

Guard Your Heart from the Junk of Life

Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

Sometimes we take in filth. We don’t mean to do it, it just happens. We embrace or walk into situations that leave dark deposits on our souls. We know there are some things we may see and hear that are shocking, or hurtful, or possibly criminal, but we don’t think to arrest the information in the spirit before it leaves its dirty mark on our soul. In a world where we are bombarded daily with so much demonic activity, it can be hard to stay in front of the rubbish the enemy attempts to place before our eye gates and our ear gates when we encounter a dark situation, but as children of God, we have power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19) and we can determine what rules the thoughts and the intents of the heart.

Just as we guard our personal information from would-be thieves and hackers, so should we carefully guard the pathways to the heart. The Bible says that the spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD searching out his innermost being (Proverbs 20:27) and if we take in just a little bit of darkness then the whole body can be defiled (Mark 7:15). So how do we guard the pathways of the heart from dark deposits on the soul? We loose the darkness from our souls through prayer and we bind the good things of God to our souls through the reading of the Word and the confession of the mouth. We can verbally declare and decree a thing and the Bible says it will be established (Job 22:28). So if you find yourself in a less than godly situation and you have seen or heard information you know the Holy Spirit would deem inappropriate or ungodly then get it off your soul. Verbally remove that junk and ask the Lord to fill those places with His light, His love, His purposes and then repeat as needed. This goes for improper conversations you have overheard or have indulged in, gossip you have received or spread, music you have listened to that defiles what is sacred and holy, television shows or movies you have watched that are rampant with sexual content, offensive language or excessive violence, reading materials that encourage adultery, witchcraft, or open rebellion against God. None of these issues promote godliness and none of these issues add value to us or to the kingdom. Now that doesn’t mean we’re to go through life with our heads buried in the sand and unable to communicate with worldly people who may indulge in toxic forms of entertainment; after all, we are called to reach the lost, but a regular routine of soul cleansing will keep us from being infected by the dross of the world while we’re working to affect godly change in worldy spheres. If the kingdom of God is within us then we need to look like we belong to the kingdom of God.

Going forward, make the decision to regularly wash away the dark deposits left on the soul from the junk we may take in whether knowingly or unknowingly. Make it a habit to perform a soul check and take the steps necessary to cleanse your heart. Be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only (James 1:22). Use the resources God has given to us in His Word and through prayer to clear away the dirty deposits that come from the camp of the devil and daily guard your heart because the issues of life do indeed flow from that very special place and it should always be reserved for the light of the Father.

Be blessed friends and cleave to Jesus.
